I approach the act of painting as a continuously active and open dialogue and heeding Oscar Wilde’s maxim that ‘When two people continue to agree one of them isn’t thinking’. I endeavour to maintain an attitude towards my work that is not only conscious of the benefits of hindsight but is also informed by the unchartered possibilities of the present.
